Opinion of the Week - "An Inconvenient Truth"

Have you seen the movie "An Inconvenient Truth?" Please share your opinion about what you learned from the movie, what it means to "Go Green," or how politics affect environmental issues. Please remember our rules about posting.

BLOCKS 1, 2, & 4 - Field Trip

Permission slips for field trip are due: October 2nd. If you have misplaced your slip, please e-mail me and I will be happy to send you another copy. We will be traveling to Sequiota Park to identify tree species and leaves. We will also be doing some water quality testing, however, students will NOT be getting in the water. It's been unseasonably chilly lately, so please dress appropriately for the weather, for we will be spending a good portion of the day outside. If you are a parent and wish to attend the field trip also, please email or call me.

BLOCK 3- Cell Diorama

Due to the Labor Day, Block 3 ONLY will have their Cell Dioramas due on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. This will be discussed in class, hoever the rubric for your class is incorrect. Please remember you should make this out of household found items, please do NOT sped money on them.

ALL BLOCKS - Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parents please be aware that parent/teacher conferences will be held September 24-27, 2007 from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, or by appointment. I would really like the opportunity to meet each of you, however I understand it is very difficult to coordinate schedules sometimes. Please feel free to contact me via phone at school or through email. My planning period is from 8:15 am - 10:35 am. If you would like to leave a message anytime I will return your call within 24 hours. I look forward to meeting you or hearing from you. Please also use this blog for continuous communication.

ALL BLOCKS- First Week Reminders

Don't forget to bring your signed lab agreements, contact card and a three ring binder. These signed lab agreements should be signed by you as a student and by your parent. We have rules for the lab for your safety. If you have lost your agreement and need to print another, you can find it located on my website. Your contact card should contain your parents/guardian's day and night time phone numbers. NOTE: If you bring everything back by your next class, you will recieve 5 BONUS points.
